A sound collage made of archival radio rips from Dread Broadcasting Corporation, also known as Rebel Radio. Founded by Leroy Anderson aka DJ Lepke in 1980, DBC was the first black-owned pirate radio station in the UK, airing a wide range of black music. Broadcasting only till 1984, DBC had been instrumental in building a regional community and developing radio culture in general.

Fond memories of childhood visits to London and hearing Pirate Radio being played at relatives to newsagents to fast food outlets to taxis yet those Advert Jingles got me.
Short moments of genius which this album provides.

I fell in love with London when visiting in the year of 1994 during the latter years of my teenage days.
Being from Up North, the thing that got me was Pirate Radio which would never be allowed by authorities in my area.
The amount of choice which was available was astonishing especially hearing Jungle in FM on a weekday afternoon.
Death Is Not The End must have spent hours creating this with my favourite track being "Rush" which is the sound of my youth. Your Mother
